Candidate of this role will lead the business analysis team and activities across the banking department. As a leadership role, your main objectives will be to build and develop an effective ‘Centre of Excellence’ (CoE) for the Business Analysis team. You will build amp; lead a team of business analysts and engage with key banking stakeholders at all levels. Development and upskilling the team will also take part of your daily activities. Creating and reporting team KPI’s is a major activity of this role. Results and progress to be reported directly to the Banking Director.
Responsibilities:
- Initiation and scoping new projects.
- Coach and lead the business analysis team.
- Act as a business expert within the company.
- Challenging the team and creating an environment for success.
- Creating CR’s with detailed business cases.
- Ensuring that all requirements are gathered correctly and documented clearly.
- Conducting requirement gathering, gap, solution proposal and handover meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Set the methods and standards for eliciting requirements.
- Ensure customer needs are understood and met by the team. Apply strategic thinking in how to provide the best service for the customer.
- Recommend process and system improvements using formal and informal techniques.
- Provide guidance and feedback on how to improve the quality of the business analysis team and ensure that changes implemented result in a positive customer outcome.
- Identify business problems opportunities and define the most suitable approach to ensure that recommendations fit with strategic business objectives.
- You will also be looking after the business analysis team from a day-to-day managerial point of view, this will involve working with the team to support career development, day to day project assignments and all other administrative leadership duties.
Requirements
- Experience of working in an Agile-environment financial services.
- 10+ years of experience in the field of Banking Business Analysis.
- Proven experience of developing a team of Business Analysts.
- Diversity of knowledge in the Banking sector "Digital banking, Loan origination, Investment, Credit cards, etc."
- Experience leading business analysts from a junior and mid-levels.
- Extensive knowledge in development of detailed business cases.
- Expert in business modelling and business process engineering.
- Extensive experience of planning and prioritization of demand.
- Knowing how to deliver effective and engaging presentations at executive levels.
- ECBA certified mandatory.
- CCBA certified desirable.
- CBAP certified desirable.
- BCS Business Analysis desirable.
