What your team will look like
You will lead one of our agile engineering teams, focused on granting users an identity and managing how it is protected. This includes saving critical applications, data and systems from unauthorised access while managing the identities and access rights of users both inside and outside the organisation. Our engineering teams provide the technology to extend our capabilities and celebrate wins in an agile environment.
Our identity team is geographically spread across Germany, Egypt and Nigeria, and includes Backend Engineers, Frontend Engineers, QA and Product Owners working together on Authentication and Authorization features for the WorkMotion Platform.
What you’ll do
- Lead and develop a high-performance engineering team (4 people) and ensure high-quality services and efficient workflows
- Report directly to the CTO and partner with senior management regarding all technical decisions and improvements to ensure alignment about engineering challenges and opportunities
- Build and design the architect from scratch into scalable and durable systems
- Hands-on approach with a strong focus on clean code, code reviews and best practices
- Good understanding of the business needs and provide technical solutions accordingly
- Take care of and develop all your team members through empowerment, mentoring and continuous feedback based on our company values
- Keep yourself and the team up to date with new technologies, testing and implementing those that can help deliver the best experience for our customers

What we’re looking for
- Significant experience in tech/software development within a technical leadership role
- Solid experience with IT infrastructure setups using a mix of hosting and cloud services in an organization that has experienced high growth
- Previous experience in Identity/Security management
- In-depth knowledge of APIs and microservices
- Deep experience with Java, Spring Boot, Postgresql, MongoDB, AWS, and Docker
- Communicate in a bold and persuasive way at all levels to many different audiences
- Strong project management skills and ability to run and improve technical development processes
- Curiosity and passion for our customer’s needs and experience
