AI Senior Technical Director

• In charge of leading the E2E technical division including technical staff, Project Managers, and Program Managers.
• In charge of the feasibility study of the applicability of the projects, projects management and planning, and execution of the AI projects on the ground.
• In charge of aligning with the Egypt AI Strategy defined by Strategy Executive
• In charge of building the short, mid and long term technical project goals of AI in Egypt that matches the maturity of technology and setting the team of operating in parallel in such AI goals.
• In charge of defining what is the technical realistic goals for projects.
• In charge of daily management tasks including hiring, technical onboarding programs, etc.

• Minimum 10 years work experience, including at least 3-4 in a leadership role in charge of delivering end to end AI projects into production, ideally with some experience working within or delivering to government entities.
• Very solid technical background and deep understanding of AI technologies, with a possible focus on one area such as NLP, CV, etc.
• Up to date with all the current developments and able to propose how they can be deployed into production.
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects both as a technical/individual contributor and a team/division lead.
• Ability to coach and mentor younger staff.
• Deep understanding of all technical aspects of AI project delivery including DevOps processes, building data pipelines, solution architecture, QA, etc. Ability to hold strategy and business discussions.
• Ideally with experience working outside Egypt or within a multinational environment.
• An advanced degree in AI (esp PhD) is highly desirable, but practical experience is more important.
• A natural problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude and a team spirit.
• Highly resilient and able to handle tremendous pressure with tight and shifting deadlines.
• Passionate about deploying AI technologies to address the toughest challenges Egypt is facing.
