In the role of City Lead, You are responsible for building the business unit strategy, owning the vertical Pamp;L, and meeting expected targets on both a city level. City level oversight incorporates general management of Riyadh and you have the direct responsibility for overseeing effective and efficient fulfilment, while ensuring incredibly rapid document collection.This role calls for a rare combination of strategic thinking, sales and relationship-building, operational prowess, and team management to own the relationship with a very valuable part of our business: our carriers.Main Responsibilities:
Trella aims to structure and regulate the freight industry with a goal of improving efficiency and reducing waste throughout the entire supply chain. This can only be achieved through building technology to create an interconnected network of carriers and shippers. Through this technology, Trella will improve shipping routes, increase truck utilization and efficiently batch shipments. This will effectively reduce costs throughout the entire supply chain, improving carrier and shipper economics and ensure both ends of the marketplace profitably grow their businesses - creating unprecedented economic opportunities in the logistics space - while reducing environmental waste.

- Build an energised and productive procurement and fulfilment team in Riyadh.
- Monitor City Growth targets across loads and gross bookings.
- Take big picture ideas and projects and break them into actionable steps with aggressive timelines for completion
- Grow and develop a team of Operations Coordinators and Carrier Sales Executives to execute on the acquisition, onboarding and engagement of fleets
- Manage business stakeholders to solve operational problems and build solutions. You will set and give guidance to local Operations teams who will be the extended arm to this central function
- Pro-actively search for bugs and help pilot new features which could improve a seamless carrier and shipper experience
- Work on advanced models and analytics to pinpoint areas of growth
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience managing Operations in the logistics industry. Industry experience is Essential.
- Bachelor's Degree, MBA or relevant masters degree a plus
- Demonstrated ability to build, scale and lead a large team effectively
- Strong business acumen and ability to leverage tactical decision making framework
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead and manage cross-functional stakeholders on multiple projects at a time
- Ability to fluently speak the local language
