Foodics Software Testing Lead will be responsible for: Building up and leading the Testing Team to the success of project, defining the scope of testing within the context of each release, deploying and managing resources for testing, applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product and the Testing Team, planning, deploying and managing the testing effort for any given engagement.
Main Task and Responsibilities
- To provide effective line management and trusted leadership for the software team so that they perform well individually and together.
- To ensure that the software design and development processes are carried out and documented accurately by the team.
- To provide accurate estimates of the effort needed for projects and ensure the team meets those estimates in practice.
- To prioritize and allocate the activities of the team to best meet the timescales as agreed with the project managers
- To ensure that the systems offered to customers will be met by the delivered product, through a detailed understanding of the requirements and the solutions being produced by the team.
- To ensure that the team provides expert support in resolving issues raised elsewhere in the business, notably with the other engineering and test teams.
- Line manager responsible for the entire employee life-cycle of direct reports to ensure successful recruitment and induction, ensuring their development needs are planned and achieved, and are performance managed where appropriate.
- To complete all necessary line management administration (e.g. holiday and timesheet approvals).
- Manage security of information as defined in the Security manual.
- Any other duties as and when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Product Management or relevant field
- Minimum of 3 -7 years of experience in a related field
- 2+ years experience in team management and Leadership
- Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal communication skills)
- Experience in Python
- High-level analytical skills
- Ability to manage projects
- Detail-oriented
- High level of self-initiative
- Good working experience on various types of testing such as functional, non-functional, automation, performance, etc.,
- Strong experience and understanding of testing tools technologies
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience in all testing types (functional, automation, performance, and security)
- Certifications in ISTQB/ISEB, ITIL, Agile Software Development Frameworks, or Project Management are welcomed
- Must be flexible to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
