Compliance Manager, KSA
 
Checkout.com is seeking a compliance manager to join its Operations function to lead all compliance matters in KSA. Reporting into the Regional Manager, this is a key role with significant opportunity to have a huge impact and will be granted trust and autonomy to deliver results.
 
You will develop and manage the compliance program for KSA, working with external regulators and internal teams to ensure Checkout.com in KSA follows local and global best practices.
 
The successful candidate will be able to handle multiple areas of responsibilities with minimal supervision, demonstrating excellent critical judgement with a hands-on approach. This is an exciting and fast-paced role with the opportunity to make a real impact and to work with an inspiring, dynamic FinTech.

About You

  • A university degree with minimum 5-8 years working experience in the area of payments AML/CTF, compliance, internal audit or risk management within financial services industries.
  • ACAMS certified (preferably).
  • Knowledge in SAMA regulatory framework.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in problem-solving and being able to implement and deliver solutions.
  • Good organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to expand technical knowledge in a broad range of projects.
  • Team player with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanour.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analysis and recommendation.
  • Reliable when working independently, with sound judgment for when to escalate issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills and a flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to work odd hours

What you will be doing

  • Develop the compliance program of the company including the needed manuals and policies which should be in line with SAMA requirements.
  • Work closely with other internal functions and teams to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Investigate and where required, escalate any major compliance concerns to Management, recommend remediation actions and enhance existing processes accordingly.
  • Provide oversight and compliance advice to local entities and business units to ensure risk management and mitigation policies are adopted and adequately addressed.
  • Facilitate Regulatory Inspections, prepare responses on observations, and ensure to resolve all observations within an accepted timeline.
  • Participate and manage in Group-wide and local AML/CTF related projects.
  • Conduct compliance assurance exercises on AML/CTF program.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and review of policies and procedures, including ensuring they are up to date with all regulatory and international best practices.
  • Conduct training on AML/CTF developments and typologies to cultivate good risk and compliance culture within the organization.
  • Highlight any potential concerns/risks and proactively share the best risk management practices.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Develop compliance reporting as per regulatory and governance requirements
  • Contribute and adhere to coding standards, best practices, and procedures
