You will be working as a Constructions Planning Engineer and will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to the Project Operations Manager and will be responsible for developing project plans and scheduling that balance available resources with the critical tasks to be undertaken during the on-site construction or civil-works, installation and commissioning activities of the project. You will also be monitoring project progress and escalating potential schedule conflicts or resource overloads to site and construction management for resolution.
Your responsibilities
Analyzing project requirements and advising Site Manager or Construction Site Manager in planning. Overseeing coordination with related teams through regular planning meetings.
Defining together with the site team the project work breakdown structure, ensuring adherence to the project schedule, verifying and linking all the interrelated activities, with supervision or approval of Site Manager or Site Construction Manager.
Defining the necessary manpower for project completion, evaluating the work breakdown structure and standard productivity. Tracking and updating the project revenues forecast including cost deviations.
Utilizing project planning tools and techniques to monitor project progress and ensuring completion of all activities. Notifying site manager or site construction manager and Project Planning Specialist of any deviations or scheduling issues and providing inputs for optimizing resources.
Ensuring projects follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures.
Communicating appropriate information to customer and other stakeholders in a timely manner and achieving desired understanding.
Coordinating with supply chain management and updating on-site plan. Formalizing the site acceptance plan.

Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in planning.
Should be open to work in temporary position for the period of 18 to 24 months.
Should have strong experience in using PRIMAVERA & other related Programs.
Required computer skills in Microsoft office (mainly excel, Word, and power point).
Fluency in both spoken and written English & Arabic language is a must.
