AWS Cloud Engineer - Mid Level

We are seeking an experienced and innovative AWS Cloud Engineer - Mid Level to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will employ a holistic approach to design, develop, evaluate, and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products throughout their entire life cycle. As a Mid-Level AWS Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in generating quantifiable requirements, ensuring compliance with client specifications and government standards, and actively contributing to system conceptual design and development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, evaluate, and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products.
• Generate quantifiable requirements based on customer descriptions, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
• Ensure requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
• Translate high-level product development strategies into system requirement specifications.
• Work with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower-level detailed requirements.
• Establish and coordinate the development of standards, practices, and procedures related to overall product development.
• Design interfaces and bring system elements together to ensure seamless functionality.
• Assess system performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
• Act as a customer liaison and provide support for business development activities.
• Understand and shape requirements based on customer interactions.
• Participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system.
• Trace requirements through compliance verification and validation processes.
• Generate system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
• Review test plans/procedures to ensure they meet contractual requirements and actively participate in the testing process to validate requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent with 5-8 years of experience or Master's with 3-5 years of experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end system design and development.
• Proven experience in generating and translating system requirements.
• Familiarity with formal verification methods and compliance standards.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across engineering disciplines.
• Experience in developing and implementing standards, practices, and procedures.
• Solid understanding of system interfaces, integration, and performance assessment.
• Excellent customer liaison skills and support for business development activities.
• Participation in system conceptual design and design reviews.
• Ability to develop system-level requirements verification and acceptance test procedures.
• Thorough review of test plans/procedures to meet contractual objectives.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to system development challenges.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in AWS cloud engineering.

Preferred Experience:

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience in leading or mentoring junior team members.
• Certification in AWS cloud technologies.
