As member of theDevOps Engineeringteam inOptasia, you will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.
What you will do
- Ability to handle and drive demanding situations under pressure
- Setup and maintain environments
- Plan deployment roadmap
- Hands-on experience with CI /CD Pipelines
- Secure systems using various tools
- Managed tasks independently, and automate them to reduce manual efforts
- You should know
- Proxies: Nginx, HA Proxy
- Application Server: Tomcat, Wildfly
- Orchestration Tool: Kubernetes and Dockers
- Message broker: ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka
- Operating System: Ubuntu / Centos / Debian
- Databases: Mongo, PostgreSQL and Redis
Cloud environments: Strong knowledge of(AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Database Clustering
- Index Store Stack: Elastic Stack
- Dataflow Tools: Apache Nifi, Logstash
- Monitoring Stack: Prometheus and Alert Manager integrate with slack to push notifications
- Visualization: Kibana and Grafana
- Bug tracking systems (Jira, Bugzilla etc.)
What you will bring
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field will be considered a plus
- Strong hands-on technical infrastructure skills on Servers (Linux)
- Linux security hardening knowledge
- Experience on working with virtualization technologies (VMWare)
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent communication skills and team working mentality
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Ability to demonstrate innovation, good judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with working in a fast-paced and creative environment
- Hard working attitude and willingness to commit on projects
- Pro-activeness, accountability, and results orientation
