About the role
As Flat6Labs Financial Analyst, you will spearhead comprehensive financial analyses, generate donor-specific reports, and champion budgeting and forecasting initiatives. As a seasoned professional, you will play a central role in enhancing our financial processes, ensuring compliance with donor regulations, and collaborating seamlessly across departments.
Main Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support decision-making processes.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Donor Reporting:
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to create financial reports for donors.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and regulations.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage budgets, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously review and enhance financial processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices in financial reporting and analysis.
Risk Management:
- Assess financial risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor and report on key financial risk indicators.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with departments across the organization to gather financial information and provide insights.
- Collaborate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or professional certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- 3 - 5 years of proven experience as a Financial Analyst, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Experience working with donors and understanding donor reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using tools such as Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations in Egypt and the MENA region.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
- Solid experience using ERP software.
- Knowledge of the venture capital industry or financial services is required.
