Job Description

Location: Egypt, 100% remote work-from-home position (You must permanently live and have the right to work in Egypt to apply for this position)

Pay Rate: $4.50 USD per hour.

Contract: 6-month contract with an extension highly likely. Self-employed contractor. Responsible for own taxes. No benefits.

Hours of work: Up to 37.5 hours per week, Full time and Part time roles available

The Role:

Here at Twinkl we are currently looking for a content writer/editor to join our Twinkl Egypt team and create exceptional resources following the rules of Arabic Grammar. We are looking for creative, innovative, cooperative content writers/editors to join our team and collaborate with making perfect Arabic content on our website.

You will be helping to create Arabic resources specifically designed to follow our Arabic Grammar guide lines which will be used globally. As a team we are looking to add new creative ideas and engaging resources to improve our Arabic content on the website.

You will create innovative printable and digital Arabic teaching resources that address key standards in one of the following areas from grade 1 to grade 6:

  • Arabic Grammar (Grade 1 to Grade 3).
  • Arabic Grammar (Grade 4).
  • Arabic Grammar (Grade 5).
  • Arabic Grammar (Story Writer).
  • Arabic Grammar (Social Studies).
  • Arabic Grammar (Religion)

In your role as a writer/editor, you will focus on quality when writing content and help ensure that the content of our resources the writers have written is accurate and well written, helping us to deliver high-quality Arabic Grammar materials to children around the world.

As part of the Twinkl Egypt team, you will communicate with other team members and attend weekly meetings to stay updated on the progress of our work. You will be part of an agile team that communicates via email, messaging, and video meetings. To fulfil this role, you will need to provide your own technology and have reliable high-speed internet access.

The content you write will be turned into professional Twinkl products by our highly skilled design and illustration team.

How you’ll spend your day:

  • Creating Arabic resources following the product scheme, reviewing and editing content that our Writers have created to ensure it is accurate, well written, suitable for the target year group and providing the correct level of challenge and support.
  • Meeting, working and communicating with other team members in a scrum team to achieve sprint goals.
  • Researching Arabic educational resource trends and ideas to make sure your assigned resources will be instant hits with our millions of global members.

In this role, you will learn:

  • How to create exceptional Arabic content following the guidelines of Arabic Grammar.
  • How to adapt new ideas to fit a new market.
  • How a scrum team works together across different markets and countries.

  • Menna Abukhadra (Egypt Country Manager) Menna Abukhadra leads the Twinkl Egypt team and is responsible for all Arabic resources related to Arabic Grammar and Arabic Handwriting on the Twinkl website. Menna has been working at Twinkl for five years. She started as a Middle East Content Executive, then moved her focus to the Egyptian Market until she became Twinkl Country Manager for Egypt.
