About the role
As Flat6Labs Accountant, you will be a member of the finance team and responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, preparing regulatory returns and audited accounts, and preparing management reporting for the operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable: You will be responsible for accurately processing vendor invoices in a timely manner, ensuring strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Bank Transactions: Your role will involve assisting with bank reconciliations, diligently monitoring and recording all incoming and outgoing transactions.
- General Ledger: You will play a key role in maintaining and updating general ledger entries, ensuring precise recording of financial transactions.
- Expense Management: You will review employee expense reports, verify supporting documentation, and efficiently process reimbursements.
- Financial Reporting: Working closely with the team, you will assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial statements, reports, and schedules for management and external stakeholders.
- Data Entry and Analysis: Accurately entering financial data into the accounting system will be part of your responsibilities, along with performing regular data analysis to identify discrepancies and variances.
- Compliance: You will contribute to ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal control policies.
- Documentation and Filing: You will maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other supporting documents.
- Assist with Audits: Collaborating with the internal and external auditors during financial audits, you will provide necessary documentation and information as required for Cairo office operations.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant professional qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a General Accountant, with a focus on accounts payable and bank transactions, is required.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools is essential. Experience with Oracle NetSuite is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
